Ashton Kutcher's 'Two and a Half Men' Salary Less Than Charlie Sheen's

Ashton Kutcher may be the new star of 'Two and a Half Men,' but he's no Charlie Sheen. The show's producers are making that clear by reportedly giving Kutcher a per-episode salary that will be significantly less than Sheen's.

According to reports, Kutcher will make over half Sheen's $1.25 million per episode ($625,000) but less than $900,000.

That may seem like a huge drop in salary (though it's still unclear if the deal will include other benefits, such as pay for reruns), but it's still hundreds of thousands of dollars more than most other actors make for television sitcoms.

Kutcher was revealed to be Sheen's replacement  -- just days after English actor Hugh Grant passed up on the offer -- after reportedly hitting it off with executive producer Chuck Lorre. The producer had been in a much-publicized battle with Sheen, whom once called Lorre a 'contaminated little maggot' and challenged him to a fight.

As for the rest of the 'Two and a Half Men' cast, specifically Jon Cryer and Angus Young, I'm pretty sure they're just ready to get back to work. CBS president Les Moonves is reportedly going to announce the show's renewal for a ninth season sometime this week.
