Despite her announced separation from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver is not having the worst week ever. Word's just out to reveal that Shriver is in talks with Oprah Winfrey about having her own show on OWN, or the Oprah Winfrey Network. Could there be a better idea in television?
We thought for sure Katie Couric's big announcement in the last couple weeks would have been that she was heading to the Oprah Winfrey Network with a talk show. Word has it Maria Shriver and Oprah Winfrey have been close friends since they were both young journalists, and Oprah has been asking 56-year-old Maria for months whether the California First Lady is interested in having her own talk show. A source says Shriver is definitely interested: "Maria is looking at make a comeback and she is getting tons of offers from the major networks," the insider told RadarOnline.com. "It's not a matter of if Maria will return to television, but when."

And where: apparently all the major networks have been after Maria Shriver recently with offers to give her shows. Another source says one of the reasons Maria Shriver was so fed up with Arnold Schwarzenegger was that she'd sacrificed her entire career to be the governor's wife: "She loved being a journalist," says the source. Meanwhile it sounds like Oprah Winfrey wants to be the winner who'll bring Maria back on TV: "Oprah is on a full court press to lock Maria up."
